History
& Timeline
1977
- 1979
Penns Grove, New Jersey
-
Mr. Amer started AIT when he identified a need for Heavy Nuclear
Components in the market. After a short time in NJ, he outgrew
his 50,000 sf fabrication shop as the company grew to (15+) employees.
The growth enabled Amer’s move to Delaware, pursuing land
suitable for immediate & future expansion.
1979
- 1998
South Madison Street, Wilmington, Delaware
-
Madison Street is where AIT became recognized as one of the premiere
suppliers in the Nuclear Industry.
With (30+) employees and a 150,000 sf. fabrication shop full of
Westinghouse components, AIT had a manufacturing backlog of (2)
years. Mr. Amer sold his land here at the request of the State
of Delaware. For doing so, he is recognized as a pioneer in the
revitalization of South Wilmington’s, Riverfront.
1998
- Present
Amer Road, Wilmington,
Delaware
-
Due to the stimulation of the Nuclear Industry and the need for
ASME vessels, AIT has grown to (60+) employees and is growing
at an impressive pace. The massive fabrication shop has few limitations,
as it is divided into (8) bays with various sizes. Since November
2009, AIT has doubled their workable office space and have seen
their RFQ inquiries double respectively. Known as our International
Headquarters, customers from all over the world frequently visit
our Wilmington location to confirm AIT’s reputation in the
Nuclear Community.
