Industrial Technologies is looking for highly qualified summer
interns to support Mechanical Design and Mechanical Engineering
Departments.
Mechanical
Design: Work may include preparing fabrication drawings for
production, preparing outline drawings for customers, analyzing
piping designs. Summer interns will gain an improved understanding
of mechanical design and the process involved in designing equipment
in a quality based environment.
Mechanical
Engineering: Work may include supporting senior engineers in
preparation of design calculations, Bills of Material, cost
estimation reports, inventory control documentation, and engineering
support for shop fabrication. Summer interns will gain valuable
experience working closely with the engineering department and
the production team.

• Bachelor's degree in progress, preferably in Business,
Marketing or Mechanical Engineering. Successful related work
experience in a fabrication industry is of value.
• Knowledge of some or all of the following programs is
a plus; Microsoft Office, Adobe, Illustrating software and ACT!
by Sage.
• Ability to call on the highest levels of decision makers
in an organization with confidence for the areas represented.
• Self-motivated individual who exhibits sense of urgency
in all sales and service related activity.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up,
negotiation, and closing skills. Strong emphasis on the ability
to listen and present appropriate solutions.

Marketing
Engineer – This person will be responsible for assisting
the Marketing Department in daily tasks necessary to increase
Request for Quotations (RFQ) and increase department efficiency.
• May work with current and prospective customers to secure
future business when opportunities arise.
• May identify prospects and develop sales strategies
to secure new business. This may include sales calls, competitive
analysis, coordination of presentations and proposals, in-office
demonstrations, e-mail campaigns, and follow up activity coordinated
within that plan/approach.
• May have involvement in the design, structure, technical
layout and content in the proposal process and final submittal.
• Will be responsible for data entry into sales ACT! software
to increase department efficiency and marketing goals.
